International project of human youth
A group of scientists from many countries of the world currently works on one of the largest international projects in modern-day science. The goal of the project is to extend the period of human youth.
The biochemical laboratory of Russia’s Southern Federal University joined the project during the test period to find out how the elixir of youth affects the DNA of lab animals.
Vladimir Chistyakov, the senior scientist of the lab, said that academician Skulachev dissipated the energy of a living organism on the molecular level during the 1970s.
“Living cells have their own power plants, which produce by-products in addition to energy.
The speed of aging largely depends on those toxic substances. Skulachev created nanoconstructions which penetrated into mitochondrions – the energy-making part of the cell – and destroyed toxic substances. It was some sort of a nanorobot, which was tested on lab rats.
It turned out that the DNA of the rodents, which fed on Skulachev’s ions, had a slower destruction process.
Since time immemorial, man has been looking for the fountain of youth. More and more is being learned into what goes into the process of aging. It has been basically known that toxic substances seem to be one key that causes aging.
All of us have watched relatives and others aging in various ways and manners. Some people are vital and active to the very end. Others become glaringly disabled, they cannot even take care of the activitiies of daily living such as washing themselves, personal hygiene and even walking or eating.
So let’s all order up a huge dose of this elixir, especially for grandma and grandpa. Soon people may be living well past 100. Indeed 100 might be considered only mid-life at best with the progress of science. Hopefully they will discover why the youthful, healthy specimens died anyway. Very strange development.
